The project “Creation of the Institutional Support Service for CSOs in the Northern Region of the Republic of Moldova.”

The project aims to contribute to the institutional development and capacity building of civil society organizations by creating an institutional support service for CSOs. As a result, the role of the CSOs sector in the implementation of public policies at the local and regional level will increase.

The project focused on 3 components:

(a) Capacity building of civil society organizations through training;

(b) Consultancy in accessing funds from various donors;

(c) Participatory community organization of citizens and stimulation of civic initiative at the local level.

Project results:

(a) capacity building of 18 regional levels local NGOs by organizing a thematic training cycle;

(b) providing consultancy in the elaboration of the financing application through the assistance provided by the project team;

(c) involvement of local NGOs setting up local initiative groups and organizing focus-group meetings in the community;

(d) enhancing the role of local NGOs and local initiative groups by involving them in updating local development plans, taking into account the real needs of the population.

The project area is the Northern Region of the Republics of Moldova: the districts: Singerei, Falesti, Floresti, Riscani, Glodeni, Soroca, Donduseni, Edineț, Briceni, Ocnița.

The implementation period of the project is November 1, 2019 – October 31, 2021.

The project “Civil Society Development Facility in the Republic of Moldova”, financed by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), will offer during the years 2019-2021 grants worth about 3 million euros to Civil Society Organizations, which carry out their activity outside Chisinau.

The project “Civil Society Development Facility in the Republic of Moldova” implemented in partnership with the Independent Analytical Center “Expert-Grup”, the Association for Participatory Democracy “ADEPT”, the Association for Foreign Policy and the European Association Pro-Europe Center in Comrat.

The Project aims is to contribute to the development of local civil society in the Republic of Moldova that promotes and monitors the transparency and accountability of public institutions, including in the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.
